When to check or replace it

  • A1: Check the blade every 3 rolls of PLA, ABS or PETG; replace if worn. (Bambu Lab: "Filament cutter When: Check the blade once every 3 rolls of PLA\ABS\PETG", source)
  • P1S: Check the blade every 3 to 5 rolls of regular filament (PLA, PETG, ABS or PC); replace it if dull. (Bambu Lab: "For regular filaments like PLA/PETG/ABS/PC, the blade should be checked every 3-5 rolls. If the blade is dull, replace it.", source)
  • A1 and P1S: Bambu store page: replace the cutter every 10-15 spools, or sooner. (Bambu Lab: "We recommend replacing the filament cutter every 10-15 spools of filament used (or quicker) to ensure the cutting performance is unaffected.", source)
