Can the Bambu Lab A1 print TPU?

Fits, with limits

The maker lists TPU as ideal for the A1, with two limits in Bambu's TPU guide: the AMS lite cannot feed ordinary TPU, and the A1 series cannot print TPU 85A.

Limits

  1. Ordinary TPU cannot be fed through the AMS, AMS lite or AMS 2 Pro. Bambu's own 'TPU for AMS' filament is the exception.
  2. TPU 85A: Bambu marks it incompatible with the A1 series. Its table marks TPU 90A, TPU 95A HF and TPU for AMS as compatible.

How it works

Point to the part. Read the answer. Check the source.

  1. Point to the part

Each printer is drawn with its replaceable parts pulled out and numbered. Tap a number, or pick the part from the list.

  2. Read the label

The answer comes on a label. You get the verdict in a word and a shape, any limits in full, and the printers it applies to.

  3. Check the source

Open the sources under any label to see the maker's exact words, a link to the page and the date we checked it. If we get one wrong, we correct it in public.
