Data API
Our register of 3D printer materials and wear parts is one free JSON file. Each answer has the maker's quote, the page address and the date we read it. You don't need a key, and AI assistants can read it through our MCP server.Checking isn't the same as testing. We don't physically test parts or printers.
The file
/api/compatibility.json holds every printer we've published, and for each one its material and part answers with the verdict, the limits, the state, the date checked and the maker's own words. It's built from the same register as the printer pages, so the two always match. Any website can read it (CORS is open). The full description is in openapi.json.
For AI assistants (MCP)
The same register is available through a read-only MCP server at https://replacementhq.co.uk/mcp (streamable HTTP). It has one tool, lookup_printer_parts, which takes a printer and a material or part, and one resource with the whole register. The manifest is at /.well-known/mcp.json.

The register is free to reuse under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence (CC BY 4.0). Credit ReplacementHQ and link to the page you used. A dated copy is on Zenodo: 10.5281/zenodo.23313608. How each answer is checked: how we check answers.
